Why Do People Hate? by Dick Van Dyke

Image
"Why do people hate? Hate is such a terrible waste of time. I don’t think people who hate should receive the attention they seem to garner in the media. Entire cable networks have been created to hate each other! Our political system seems to have devolved into one side hating the other. I like to ask, “Why do you hate?” It is so much easier to help. It’s the easiest thing in the world. Help can mean writing a check. It can also mean sharing a smile, or saying 'hello'." --Dick Van Dyke, Keep Moving     Artwork by Stacy Ann Young

Dreams are an essential corrective to the delusions of the day.

Dreams are an essential corrective to the delusions of the day. They hold up a magic mirror to our everyday attitudes and behaviors. We see ourselves from a witness perspective. This can restore our inner compass and lead to vital course correction. We are in deep trouble when those who hold power are closed to this source and even boast about sleeping little between orgies of TV and Tweet-storming. Indigenous wisdom teaches that those who have lost their dreams have lost part of their souls and that the hole in their being may be filled with alien and undesirable things. In this soul-gone condition, they can do untold harm to themselves and others. written by Robert Moss
